Materials:
KOOL TAK 3D Glue Embossing Effect
KOOL TAK Shiny Foil Transfer Sheets – vintage tones (light olive green and burnt gold), holiday colors (gold), summer blossoms (burnt orange) and earth tones (dark brown and copper)
Smoothfoam balls – one 3 3/8″, two 3″ and three 2″
DecoArt Dazzling Metallics in rich espresso, worn penny, emperor’s gold, Venetian gold, champagne
gold and glorious gold.
DecoArt Finishes – Triple Thick Gloss Glaze
Paint brush, paper place for palette, water basin, paper towels, 6 pencils or dowels, sandpaper, drinking glasses and clear glass container for display.
Instructions:
1.) Lightly sand the seam from each of the six Smoothfoam balls, wipe down with damp paper towel to remove any dust.
2.) Insert pencil or dowel in to existing hole in each ball to use as a handle. Base coat each Smoothfoam ball – 3 3\8″ champagne gold, 3″ rich espresso, 3″glorious gold, 2″ worn penny, 2″ emperor’s gold and 2″ Venetian gold. Apply
second coat, if necessary. Let dry.
3.) Draw patterns on balls with 3D glue, set aside in a drinking glass to dry. This glue will be white when applied and
will dry clear. Wait until glue is clear before applying foil.
4.) Apply shiny foil transfer sheets with dull silver side down and shiny colored side up on dried 3D glue. Burnish lightly with pad of finger and pul up to release foil. Repeat until entire design is covered, using all foil on sheet. Champagne gold – light olive green foil; glorious gold – burnt gold foil; rich espresso – dark brown foil; worn penny – burnt orange; emperor’s gold – copper foil and Venetian gold – gold foil.
5.) Top coat with Triple Thick Glaze, set aside in drinking glass to dry. Remove pencils or dowels. Place in clear glass
container and display in your home!
